Do you ever feel like you’re living on a hamster wheel?  Rushing to get things done and knowing there’s always more we could be doing is a nagging feeling for so many of us.  While some things can be delegated or outsourced, the financial responsibilities, the demands of work and the needs of your family all require your attention…as does your body, your paperwork, and the list goes on.

How do you handle having so many demands begging for your attention?  Do you get anxious?  Do you feel overwhelmed?  Does the chatter in your mind take you down?  Do you feel the stress affecting your body, mood, relationships, performance?

How do you handle the impact of such reactions?   Yoga Interlude addresses both your internal state and external circumstances to help you become calmer, feel more balanced and empowered.

Do you ever beat yourself up for what you’re not doing?  Do you sometimes feel like whatever you do manage to accomplish just isn’t good enough?  How stressed are you, generally, on a scale of one to ten?

Fill in the blank of the following statement:  “If only (…………….) , then I would feel better”.

What needs to happen for you to finally feel fulfilled and truly happy?

While some external demands may be taxing, it’s the narrator in your head that’s on a hamster wheel of another kind. We quietly tend to judge ourselves and others, have all sorts of opinions we mistake for facts and then we operate from these false premises. This is human nature.

It is not news that while we consciously work towards creating something, there are unconscious programs influencing the show backstage. They set the scenes in ways that cause us to loop into chronic patterns of behavior that are often hard to break and then we draw harsh conclusions about ourselves.

The wheels of both our external and internal environments will always be in motion, but the good news is that you can find peace of mind.  How do I know?  Well, I’ve found some.  You should know that everything I teach, I have needed to know for myself first.  The yoga is primarily for the body. The coaching is for the mind. The laughter, in the Joy Unlimited Workshops, engages our playful spirit.

I am still navigating my way toward greater peace, joy and conscious awakening and, while it’s not always smooth sailing, I invite you to join me on the journey.

In the meantime, I would love to get your feedback. Here on my blog you’ll get commentluv. That’s a plug-in for bloggers. When you leave a comment, you can provide link back to your own blog. But you don’t have to be a blogger to leave a comment, I want to hear from all of you.

Until next time,
Ali
