As a certified yoga instructor, dream and strategy coach and laughter yoga leader, I use my skills to help my students and clients reduce anxiety in various aspects of their lives. Sensitive in nature, I have been in the trenches with my own emotional ups and downs. After I experienced my first panic attack in 1995, I began my personal quest to find ways to manage my state naturally.
One of the first disciplines I turned to for solutions was yoga and even after the rigorous training of becoming an instructor, I realized that this was just one piece of the puzzle. I noticed that no matter how peaceful I felt during class, the issues that caused me angst in the first place were still there when I got off the mat!
I dove into the world of the Healing Arts and achieved Reiki levels 1 & 2, studied to become a holistic practitioner and explored a variety of emotional healing modalities. I acquired coaching certificates, became skilled at using my intuition and learned about the power of including the body and movement in the mentoring process. I am also initiated to give Oneness Blessings and I continue to be an avid student of personal development.
For over twenty years, I have mentored adults and children in a variety of ways. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and Psychology and an Honours Bachelor Degree in Education. I was a columnist in the Wellness Section of a local Toronto newspaper for two years and have spoken to a variety of groups including the Consumer Health Organization of Canada at the Total Health Conference in Toronto, 2008.
I am the founder and of Yoga Interlude and the creator of Coga Yoga Programs for Adults and Kids, Chai Tea Coaching Circles, and The Anti-Anxiety Audio Kit. I live in Toronto with my husband, two daughters and two cats.
